iNTERSCHOOL cOMPETITIONS
In the debate club students train not only to improve their persuasion skills but also to represent FDR in competitions hosted every month in different schools such as LDV, Altair, SIR, Markham and Newton. Students get into groups of 3 according to their debate level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and they are given a motion to prepare a case in an hour (impromptu debates) or in a week (prepared debates).
tRYOUTS FOR INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS
Advanced debaters get the opportunity to tryout for the international debate competitions. FDR students have always classified to join the peruvian debate team and ranked among the best speakers each time.
iNTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS
Debate students who get in the national team get to represent Peru internationally in pan-American debate competitions and/or in the World Schools Debate Championship, both being organized once a year. Debate club members have attended the following championships (left) and have ranked among the best speakers in several ones.
